BCT Debit Card smsGaurdian Text Alerts
A free 24/7 text alert system designed to help protect you against debit card fraud. Simply enroll your BCT debit card to receive text alerts on your phone or tablet.
The enrollment period is for one year. You will receive a renewal text message six days prior to expiration and you will be able text a reply to renew your enrollment. There will be three renewal text message attempts before the alerts will expire. if you do not respond, the device will be un-enrolled for the smsGuardian text alerts.
Receive Anti fraud notifications sent to your mobile device or tablet for the following:
International or out of state transactions
Fuel transactions
Authorizations greater than $200
4 or more transactions in 24 hours
Card purchases where the card is not present
Declined authorizations
How many devices may be enrolled?
You may enroll 2 mobile devise per card in the smsGaurdian program
What mobile carriers support this program?
All major phone carriers are supported
How will I receive an alert?
You will receive a text message from BofCT when receiving the text alert message.
If you receive a text alert about a transaction that seems fraudulent, simply reply to the text message, as directed ,to have your card permanently blocked from further use. If the transaction is authorized by you, no further action is required.
