ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service
• Ability to meet the clients’ needs and expectations.
• Understand BCT’s products and services thoroughly.

• Serves as a model of excellent external and internal client services.
• Identify and cross-sell Bank products suitable to the client’s needs.
• Ability to handle client requests and questions effectively and takes the initiative to resolve any discrepancies.
Operations/Loan Functions
• Books all loan types, loan renewals, modifications, participation loans, and SBA loans with a variety of complex structures, collateral, rates and terms onto the bank’s core processing system, ensuring quality, completeness and accuracy corresponding to the loan documentation and the loan approval provided.
• Performs system file maintenance necessary for all loan types.
• Works with external financial institutions to ensure accuracy of participation loan transactions and balances.
• Verifies all incoming loan packages are complete with all required booking information, including proper approval when necessary.
• Utilizes knowledge and experience with loan computer systems and loan policy to perform quality control review for loan file maintenance and bookings.
• Takes necessary steps to perfect various types of loan collateral.
• Assists the Loan Servicing Team with projects and procedure updates, by making recommendations for process changes, enhancements, and / or efficiencies for loan servicing functions.
• Works with other departments and loan operations team to resolve booking and maintenance issues.
• Ensures all collateral files are updated appropriately with maintenance records and documentation.
• Handles daily account reconcilements for various accounts.
• Assists with client requests and questions via telephone, email, and in person.
• Processes various loan paid out files, along with releasing multiple collateral types.
• Prepares and executes monthly reports for general ledger and other account types assigned.
• Performs various escrow distributions and loan analysis.
• Handles and updates insurances for follow up, exceptions, and reporting.
• Learn other operational duties of the department to provide backup assistance overall.

• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and ensures that all confidential records (physical and digital) are properly secured each day.
• Understands role in case of disaster or robbery, whether victim or bystander, and knows proper post-robbery procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least 2 years of retail, mortgage and commercial loan servicing experience. Courses offered by the American Institute of Banking (AIB) are desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Position demands a person with a pleasant professional personality, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, good organization skills, and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral or written instructions and to request clarification when needed.
• Must have basic skills in operating a computer, adding machine and typewriter.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as loan documents and procedure manuals.
• Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to answer telephones and greet the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
